so in the intro to this song and again in the middle im doing buildups of a bass and kick and in the middle just a kick ....so im automating the volume to bbuildup but there this click right before the buildup starts..

i dont get it... i hear the klick...

what do you want, and what it has to do with automation?

you want to remove the klick at 14sec ?

Make a single spot automation at the beginning of the track, for the volume of the kick to 0%, so when the increasing automation starts, it starts from 0%. Otherwise the kick volume in be beginning is 100% and when the automation kicks in, it drops from 100% to the start of your automation and that's why there is this click.           Triplag Music

Just give your automation a softer curve(if the problem is what the last poster guessed).

Going from 0% to 100% (or the other way) in zero time causes clicks...if you make a curve there its softer and doesnt click anymore

yes, happens to me too sometimes. I often just bounce the part when i did the automation and fix the wav after, or make sure the automation starts and ends in the right way.
