problem with alesis IO|14 firewire

hi forum users 
I buy this audio interface at some days, im happy with it, but
I have a litle problem.
i have all fine running but the sounds crashs almost every minuts.
I think all are good configured, and dont know what can do this.
dont crash only in producer programs but when im listen some tracks on winwamp make me the same.
Any one have one audio interface like this one, and a problem like me , who can solved?
I have it connected to my notebook with a firewire cable 4m/6m and the ac adapter connected too.
I really need this help to see if i change it for other one new, or i get this fixed.

i agree it has cool design but it sucks when they have bad drivers, it sounds like a driver issue. Are you using PC? Laptop or desktop? Which OS , service packs you got installed. If its the drivers you can only have to wait till Alesis updates them or return it. If you have windows XP sp1 or sp2 there might be a hotfix that might help.
I looked into this, as well as Focusrite Saffire but i think ill wait for the TC Desktop Konnekt.. looks really cool, adn im pretty sure itll come with solid drivers from the konnekt series.. yummy.

im using a laptop, and yes it looks fine and some projects dont consume all the cpu resorces like it happen to me in the pass, is because that im happy, not for that issue of the drivers.
I already download the new drivers and is the same.
im using windows xp sp2
but i gonna change it.
