im working with cubase on AMD xp1800 and 512 memory but the program is very slow and its get stuck alot of time during my work....do i need to upgrade my computer ? |

yes, buy another memory!
go optimize your system, put off unecessary services!
change to classic appearance in display properties! and eliminate other memory stealing resorces..
press windowsbutton + pausebreak and go to advanced - settings - adjust for best preformance, also check the page file, if you can disable it, save settings before..
now check your soundcard drivers, if you have asio use that, if not use "primary" or if you got a better option! adjust buffer size to a suitable preformance...
and if you search this for "windows optimization" and and such things you will find lots of "hits"

Side note, wich version of cubase SX2?

BTW i wanted only you to imagine a song that contains 10 billion effects, i can't really. 10 billion is so much.
I didn't wanted to make jokes, or what, about cpu usage and soundcard. Only imagination
