problem on recording in cubase with x-station

Hi
I have new x-station connected (it has a sound card),
but i can not record on cubase from midi to audio i checked device manager but everthings seems right.
why can it record audio ? any idea? |

You may want to check and see if the x-station sends it's synth audio over the USB cable. Also you may have to change a setting inside the x-station to do so.
Also you have to make sure your inputs are active in cubase. Hit F4 and check it out. Then make sure you have an audio track armed. Choose the input you want from the x-station and arm the track for recording. I should be able to see the meters bouncing with the input signal.
I think you should check your x-station first though, read the manual.

.. ti should be that....
you have to
1/ create an audio track & click the 'record' red button on the audio track
2/select the in/out device on the midi channel as X-STATION
3/ Solo the midi channel
4/press the 'record button' on the transport bar to 'start recording'
... you see the audio being written real time on the audio track........
... its like this because you're not 'exporting' the X-Station synth like a Vst... you are recording the midi notes - playing the synth - through the sound card-back in to the PC written as audio!
... I had exactly the same issue and spent ages trying to sort it out until someone told me hehe
