Problem in cubase sx2

I´ve upgraded to sx2 but i have a big problem:when i open a file in it it says that samplerate could not be set.This may be due to the sampleclock being set to external sync.
Where can i change this?i can´t get no sound from the project 
I would be much pleased if anyone could help me.Thx a lot  |

not 100% sure how to solve it, but I have seen this before. you have to go to the 'devices' menu and then to 'device setup'. after that look at vst multitrack. you probably need to make it realise what your soundcard is in 'ASIO driver', or adjust the 'clock source' if you are running extenal hardware.

if you are using a soundblaster audigy 1 or similar card then this is a known issue with the card - it only works at 48kHz. So this will always happen when you open a file which isnt at 48kHz.
If that's not it then you've got another audio application open which is locking the sample rate.
Can you get sound from other applications? My flatmate saw this message, and then discovered his soundcard had completely stopped working (even winamp wouldnt play).

I will try it saxopholus mayb its that.
to jon,i don´t think is the soundcard because i allready opened those files with this soundcard ,i only changed the cubase version and now none of the projects that i have works,when i open any of them it doesnt work and everything in my cpu works fine only here i cant get no sound output |
