i have the solution to that
take some sticky tape you know the black one used in electricks and put it on the mettal things you find in your laptops power plug you know the ground
beware!!! not the 2 metal dicks that stand out that takes the electricity to the laptop the metal thing in between tsose metal dicks the GROUND!!
stick it good so it want touch the metal things on your wallpower plug
and by magic no hum noise any more nowhere and i mean nowhere monitors, amps

its got something to do with your laptop not having a ground to go to. you could use the duck tape soloution or u could just replace the plug to a 3 teeth (or dicks as refered to earlier) plug. that way your laptop gets grounding and u don`t have to stick duck tape in anything. i think thats it. not sure.
if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...

Had the same problem. I bought a hum eliminator and it didn't work. Then I bought balanced cables and the problem dissappeared.
It will definately solve your problem.
And it is a lot better than a ground loop isolator. And a lot safer than removing the ground completely.
What kind of sound card do you have? Cause not all of them have balanced inputs and outputs.
