Also, I didn't find ierofante offensive. I think there are no strict rules applied to EDM production, especially psy

Well, like I mentioned before, it's just my opinion and in my opinion mixing dark psy and full on night or twilight doesn't sound too good. But hey, that's just my opinion and everyone's opinion deserves some respect which ierofante is quite blatantly not interested in showing.

And yeah I could easily have been wrong about the whole FM thing but that lead really isn't hard to program without FM, i've never used it

You are cool man!

Please, stop whining about me and stop spamming. What did you do before I started writing on the forum?

By the way this has gone too far for a workshop topic. Don't you think?           Fire Walk With Me

Wish you the best bro And hope you somehow improve your attitude. You're a tad egotistical. Peace

Yeah, I'm egoist. If egoism is passing most of the time I spend on the net giving feedback here on the workshop.

I never posted a topic for myself only.           Fire Walk With Me

I just reread ierofantes first comments in this thread and I still can't see how they're considered offensive... in another thread he said a tune was boring, I it was my song, I would be happy to hear that.

I don't usually need that much technical detail like stuff about hertzes or mixing. I'm always mixing the best I can, and if it needs polishing, I most likely know it but ain't able to do anything about it. If I knew, I would've done it obviously

Just asking if this sounds good or not, a "yeah" or "no it's dull" is enough.

the most terrible thing in this track is that house percussion loop. it kills everything.

stop using loops at all! u should vary leads, not just create 1 or 2 bars and duplicate it. play it like an instrument. make it more live. imagine your leads having a conversation. one asks, other replies, third join it etc.

if you stuck with leads and don't know what to do next - program some nice own percussion loops. long ones, with changes and development.

and i really hate that grand orchestra stab you use all the time. do u like it that much?

anyways u have a huge work ahead, don't give up, listen to quality music, try to understand how tracks are building up and recreate it. good luck and happy NY

Literally one of the best pieces of advice I've seen since I joined here

I agree with Makus, the percussion loop takes up too much of the space your leads should be taking and the mix quickly gets crowded.
I think you can use loops but make them fit with everything else chop them up a bit or use a gate with some limiter or compression so it actually sits nicely with everything else because all your sounds are fighting for space.
Also the voice samples you used have some low end when the bass and kick are going i think you should remove that so it doesnt overlap with the bass frequencies and you lose bottom end energy.

Also if you want the track to gel even better try and make the bass+kik more prominent and adjust all the levels of everything else according to that. Good Luck!
