coming out of Fruity I think that ableton live is a very good option for you. It's a very intuitive interface capable of amazing results.
Give it a try at least you may like it.
Personally I love Cubase SX 3, but everybody is different. Cubase just works well for me. Once you learn some shortcuts and start setting your mixer how you want it, the workflow starts getting really fast. You can set up 3 different mixers, one with just your vsti's, one with just your drum channels, and one with your audio tracks, fx, and everything else.
This improves the workflow quite a bit. Also if you start learning alot of the short cuts for the, zooms, and transport controls you'll start seeing that it's actually a very fast way of working that never limits your ideas.
Just my opinion and I've tried most all of the hosts out there, and I'm talking gave all of them a good run. |
