i've heard logic bomb using 505 percussion sounds in some of their older tracks & i'm pretty sure koxbox used to (or still do) use a mc303 or 505...
sure the sounds are good enough, even the synth sounds aren't too bad... dark nebula pretty much wrote his first albulm using only the 505 for sounds (bass, percussion etc...) + some electribes & a sampler...
i have all the percussion samples from a 505 on my computer as wav files which i use alot, i load them into battery or whatever soft-sampler you want to use |

i am a looooong way from pro, but i have a 505 so :
hehe i guess it depends on what you mean by 'adequate'...
i guess i wouldnt use them _alone_, however good they are! hehe but stick a pro reverb on a shit sound and suddenly you have a cool FX noise (joke, but only just!)
hmmm.... in fact i have never used my 505 except to entertain my friends' kid... *looks up at shelf* but I am gonna take a look at it again after what natty says.... maybe there is some place for it after all hoorah!
[[aside::hehe yup i regret buying it..... nord 2 for the less price wouyld have been wiser with hindsight, but it was a long time ago.]]

dma, if you already have the mc505, then use it!
It would be very unwise not to use a piece of hardware you own. Maybe not for the sounds (although I use my CS1x for 99% of my percs), but for the knobs and tweaks you can use.
If you still don't own it, and can get one for really cheap (which shouldn't be a problem actually) - go for it.

yes, our hats and snares are from 505, fx and some sints too, the bass is made with a virtual plugin called vb-1( if you dont have it download it now) its very good....
our gear :
mc 505, novation a-station sint, pc with cubase sx and reason (rewired) and many virtual plugins.
thanks a lot for the coment and hope to help you a bit.

yes i do have a 505!!
there are a lot of good sounds in this machine, but i could never get them to sound so good,
i now know that is possible to get profesional sound out of it,so i will just have to work my mastering technics a little more.
good to see a new and unique full on act for a change, and especially one that uses thre same gear as me!!
oh yeah, hope to see you guys in oz soon ey!!
and i would love to play some of youre toons in my sets if you wanna send some over!!pleeeeeeaaaaazzzzeeee |

Whats up dudes:
I have the opportunity to buy one 505, but i dont know if thats the best way to do. My other option its buy an audio interface motu828 and work with softsamplers, but what do u recommend me to do?
look for the motu or 505?

If you're gonna work with softsamplers, why do you need the audio interface (assuming you're not recording your own sampes)?
That MOTU is for recording audio I assume..

Again, the question is - are you going to record anything in audio format? If yes then go for the MOTU. If not, get the 505 (only if it's very cheap though).
