hi there,
I am using the Pro-52 synth, DLL version 2.0.0.0, and I created a preset for a specific sound (.fst gile). when I try to open the project I'm working on at my friends place (P&P dudes, you are familiar with this problem), it wont open the preset.

anybody knows why?

May be it's because it's a personal preset DLL saved on your computer, which is not on other's systems.. that's just a theory, but you could try copying the DLL seperatly and having the presets on a floppy, just in case.

wot do u mean "won't open the preset" ?
do u get an error ? what does it say ?
do u still use floppies ?[they suck, u know]
compare the preset u have tried to load against the preset you have at home ... maybe copy failed.

anyway save it in cubase -> save instrumant as (*.fxp) , not on the instrument itself  ..

well, I dont use floppies, we connected the hard-drives directly, so there cannot be a failure in copying.
The error it gave (correct me please Arie) was that the device could not load the preset, and the Fruity wrapper opened in empty mode (no plug in loaded).

if "no plugin" was loaded - it's not installed well on your friend's box.

in general dx plugs never ran smoothly as vsti's for me, and NI plugs in particular.
if i wanted e.g. to use the same NI plug with logic and with cubase - i had
->either to use it as DX plug under Logic and as VSTi under cubase,
->or: to install in the directory of logic - use as VSTi in logic, uninstall, install in the vstplugins under cubase, use in cubase...

this way there were no mysteries.
hope this blabla helps.
