First vinyl release of German label Nachtstrom Schallplatten is originally signed by electro techno duo Prime Suspect and German duo Extrawelt, who appeared on this vinyl as remixers. I don't have some special need to present neither label nor projects, that lately appeared on high quality releases with superb sound. So, I'll skip that part and start defining sound of this release in my oppinion, as always. Two ideas of one theme. Prime Suspects' club mix and Extrawelt remix.
1. Attraction (Extrawelt remix)
Right out, a well known sound of lead for Extrawelt project. No matter that this style of techno music ablezed very fast, and no matter that it was very popular before them, they built their unique and well known style on scene with specific colour of sound and scale of bass line. That's why you can recognize them just by hearing few seqences of track. Like always, delays are excellent on trailing ambiental samples that are used to fill in the rhythm of track. Vocals are rolled into a great form and actually can also be defined as melodic details, not only as vocals. Many electro details offered producers idea for a break beat remix of this song that is packed on limited release and I will tell more about it later. This remix is very calm and it's great for warming-up atmosphere in clubs or it can also be used as a tool track. Story of this track is not too complex but at the same time its not too simple, its just as it should be. Moment when bass line plays the same scale from beggining while pad changes the tones and they together sound like a little disharmony, is actually one of the best moments I've heard and it's my favourite.
2. Attraction (club mix)
You may recognize this track from Prime Suspects' album. Fast tempo and very dynamic rhythm. Although vocal parts are smaller and less dominant than in remix, they are more conceived in this track. I suppose that is because the pitch is higher in original. It better fits my taste. I like the part when the theme becomes, lets say, "filthy" with effect and sound is a little bit distorted. I think that it actually gives some vibe to whole track.
Remix from limited edition vinyl
Remix from different vinyl in solo version, that has a limited number of copies, is marked by Extrawelt but in early mentioned break-beat or electro style. Globally, theme is very similiar in this track, only the bass line is slightly "thinner". Drive is less expressed and it's better for driving, resting or chating with friends. All in all, pleasent sounds.
