What's the deal with prices of tickets to the bigger events these days. Earthcore are the worst. This coming Music Bowl day event sound fun, but $55 for tickets and increasing? Come on guys, it wasn't too long ago when $35 was expensive. |

i have a few questions for you smr:
1 - have you ever put on any parties with international acts before?
2 - have you done so in the last 18 months?
3 - have you done so with the biggest name/s in trance?
4 - do you know how much it costs to put on an event like that? and in an inner city location like the myer music bowl?

No, but I do know what seems a fair price for something. I know that Infected Mushroom were charging US$2500 + airfair + accomodation a couple of years ago and other big names were around the same level. I know I saw Pearl Jam at the same venue a few years ago and I wouldn't have paid any more than $35, and I'm betting that Pearl Jam cost more than IM + GMS. |

Pearl Jam would also have no problem getting 10,000 people for their show within 2 weeks of the announcement, while IM and GMS would get only 1000 in the same time.
