I'm currently trying to get funding for some new equipment so I can make my music.

In my application form I need to include how much I can expect to get from the licensing or sale of my tracks to labels (compilations or full albums) & also, how much I can expect to get from live performances of my tracks or from doing remixes of other artists tracks.

Can anyone help me out with this information?

if a label will sign a track from you, it will offer you an advance and royalities (percent of selling-returns).
the advance is very different(japan pay very 'much', new europe labels pay usually 'not very much')
it think since the last years the worldwide-average advance-prise has been fallen, cause of the problems our scene started to have. you should not sign a track less than 250 euros advance, if you dont want to destroy your own price (and also of the other ones). and i suppose you to deal with people in your home-area. this will make a lot of things much easier. dealing with people in foreign countrys is much more riskfull.

I was just after a "ballpark" figure to include in my application, I know that the actual price I will get will vary on my style and ability and popularity and how much the label pushes my music etc, so I was looking for a price for a first time artist.

This is valuable information, thanks! As far as my home area, there's not much of a psy scene in the UK, at least not in Liverpool!! I have had more interest in my music from Israeli labels than from labels in my own country, but it's far more risky I aggree!

Thanks & peace to you both
