On many boards, there is a preview button which is very useful for seeing how exactly your post is going to be (esp. if you tend to use a lot of smilies)...
would be very useful if you could implement that feature...would save edits for fast typing end-users while at the same time would reduce server-load for Isratrance...
just a thought 
  Interviewer: "So Frank, you have long hair. Does that make you a woman?"

not really necessary....
as we can edit the post withing 1/2 an hour of posting its the same as preview. Make a post( you can see your post on the next page change) edit if required. its same as preview.

i don't think so...if u make a change it gets updated in the Database...but a preview will generally hold it in memory & show you what it is going to update in database.
imagine, updating the database & then re-editing is more costly...atleast my limited understanding of computers says so
