Why would you want to stretch a bass line?

Because I wanted to use a bassline from one of my other projects in my current one, which is a few bpm's slower.

I make a track which is 143bpm but use some tempos like 286/ 71,5 / 107,25 / 35,75etc..(in one part of the song) and it works quite nice with stretching the bassline in cubase

cubase streching is one of the best actualy..
but to strech a short sample from 143 to 35 bpm will get you in trouble with most DAWs ..its not supposed to do such big changes..

No really in c base no problem. My stretch part is more or less ready(from minute 8sth-10sth).I only "compose" more for elemental harmony in this track now, maybe replace sth or change and stuff and a few things around or another short whole, equing, bit improving here and there, balancing and this such.
i stretched nothing more than 2 bars. Some quater notes for instance.I dunno how the stretched elements would sound when stretch a minute or sth .Never did so.
