I'm being desperate these days with Cubase and with it's audio settings, bugs, and etc... Now i found a new piece of DAW that is very similiar to Cubase interface but it's better quality...it's like "Customized" Cubase i found to buy some tutorials for Groove3 Studio One Explained, but maybe i won't... I'm very happy that i found finally best DAW for my workflow !!! LOL Check the background music, the official review of this DAW is based on Psytrance background Music lol !
i dont think there is THE perfect daw, cubase,logic,pro-tools, ableton, reaper, studio one, sonar,...,all have their pros and cons and everyone has to find his own favourite
If I remember correctly and if the rumours were right, S1 was developed by former Steinberg employees that were a little fed up with the company and wanted more to happen, a little more activity and creative space, so to speak. Regardless if this is true or not, the feeling I get when I use S1 pretty much reflects the rumors; it quite feels like a refined version of Cubase. It's cross-platform, too, so it'll be interesting to see where S1 is at in a few years given the fact that it hasn't been out for a very long period of time and it's still gaining momentum and support from new users.
*Added: I just looked it up on Wikipedia and here's an interesting extract:

In 2006, KristalLabs Software Ltd., a start-up company founded by Wolfgang Kundrus and Matthias Juwan, began working on Studio One in cooperation with PreSonus. Previously Kundrus had been one of the early developers of Cubase and was the primary author of Nuendo for Steinberg, and Juwan had written version 3 of the VST plug-in specification and had been responsible for the freeware KRISTAL Audio Engine.[1] Other members of the team who also originally came from Steinberg include Maik Oppermann and Eike Jonas.

I tried it today and it looks to me like a simpler version of Cubase with some interesting stuff.who knows, maybe it'll take over Cubase because it has simple interface and on the other hand, everything you need to make good music...Make love, not DAW war

Why DAW war, when we all know FastTracker is the best.
You youngsters with your newfangled software, Sequencer PLUS is all you'll ever need.

Kundrus is also Psytrain!
Sick guy, freaky liveact
hahaha indeed !!! Crazy German Psy Grandpa Also to mention the important thing, that Kundrus was the Main Architect for Cubase & Nuendo,so that's why the interface is similiar to Cubase & Nuendo...it's like younger and healthier brother of Cubase ! xDD
