I just posted this up a few days ago here and got moved to the Software area...
I was wandering if anyone had used it yet...
Looks like a cool DAW...
What were you use'in b4?
Was it easy to jump right into?
I might get the demo just to see how it works for me.

It is like a bastard son from cubase and logic xD

No, really it works wonders, it is very similar to cubase (i use sx3 as my main daw), most shortcuts are the same but workflow is way better, you have this broswer like in ableton but you can sort vsts and vstis in various ways.

Mixer is very nice too, everything is draggable, inserts and sends are very intuitive, even sidechain can be achieved with native plugins (which i like pretty much) in 2 steps.

Everything is drag and drop, you can bounce midi tracks to audio with one keystroke, audio engine sounds pretty beafy too, those Presonus guys know what they are doing.

Also automation is nice and accesible; everything looks very slick and well designed. Only thing i miss from cubase is offline audio processes.

I highly recommend you to try this software. Render quality is amazing me, but maybe i'm easily amazed, be your own judge

Easier than ableton to use and understand, you'll get the hang out of it in 1 hour, it is made to be understood in a glimpse.

I tried it, and really liked it.
No mess with all sorts of windows stacked upon each other.
But I gave up after I couldn't find how to time stretch a sample:-)

You can stretch any sample by ALT+draggin its border, stretch as much as you want and drop

Nice!
Sounds like I might have to start learning a new toy...

That time stretching is cool, super easy.           \\\"Invoking the inner dancing buddha with future frequencies from beyond\\\" ~GyPsy

the main code engineer once worked for steinberg and mostly developed Nuendo in the first years..so this is one pretty serious software wich will get better & better with the time..

i like the sample prelisten out of the browser, its like in ableton live and works good...

next thing, its not yet full loaded with all the recording shit features(sorry) but therefor pretty stable and more dedicated to performance i thing..good thing for electronic music people, ...but not yet a real competition to logic/protools/cubase/sonar/samplitude recording whise...

or is it..please correct me if im wrong..

cheers           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

I worked on the demo for a bit last night just checking things out and seeing how the settup was...
I like how all the commonly used features are all one button away, and how it has an onscreen browser.
Not sure if it was the demo or my machine but the drag and drop seemed like it was slow and took longer than I would have liked to load up.
All in all I realy like this new program and seems like a worth while DAW for those who are looking for somthing other than the normal Cubase/logic/Fruity loops/protools.
I have not tried to assign any knobs or anything yet, I will write back after I have had some more time with it and give a better review.

Hmm, not very convincing really.
Just about as bad quality as Cubase's stretching abilities.
Just stretching a bassline with 1 or 2 bpm causes ugly aliasing and stuff.

Tried them all in Cubase.
Miserable results.

Never had an issue myself...
Why would you want to stretch a bass line?

Because I wanted to use a bassline from one of my other projects in my current one, which is a few bpm's slower.
