i worked with the Audifire 4 in the past and was very happy with it. And you still have the Audiofire 8

I have had nothing but problems with my Presonus Audiobox USB card - and their tech support is fucking terrible. I won't personally be buying any presonus products ever again because of it.

my m-audio keyboard has always worked but I doubt i'd buy an m-audio soundcard.

my 2c.

Ok so no real help

I need inputs as I'll have a full heavy metal drum kit amongst other instruments (bass, guitar, flute etc.) to record.

Hmmmm...           Cuntus Maximus.

They don't sell it here in Australia that I can find, and most US stores won't shop electronics here due to warranty issues.           Cuntus Maximus.

Got a MOTU 828mk3 on sale today. Will wait until I'm back from holidays to give it a good run. It should tide me over for a a year or two until I can afford a more high interface           Cuntus Maximus.
