I read an article in the Atlantic Monthly one time before the election - it traced Bush's rhetorical skills from his first big election as Texas governor and on - it seems that he's an excellent debater, and shortly before the election campaign of 2000 his rehtorical skills took a very big dip.. 
PR geniuses, they are...
