So.....I'm preparing for a psytrance show, and I've got this problem with premastering.
For a concert, I bounce all my songs to six tracks of audio and run them out of my ultralight into a mixing board, where i dub them out, King Tubby Style. Except at 150 BPM!
So the question is, since each song consists of 6 separate tracks(Kick n Bass, Drums, Percussion, and three tracks of synths/noises) , Should I just put a mastering chain (compressor, limiter, eq)on the Master out before I bounce the tracks down? Because if I'm bouncing, say, the Kick n Bass track, it'll be the only thing running thru that mastering chain, which is set for a whole track to be running thru it. So it'll react differently to just the Kick and bass, right? Will this affect my sound in weird ways?
thanks!
