I tend to not use effects and just focus on smooth mixing            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Sometimes I borrow my friends drum machine and just use that to put a continuous kick under the track so I don't really need to bother beat matching           Cuntus Maximus.

Loopers can be great for making buildups and make your DJ set actually flow, as something new is being created.

Also, if you make tunes, then try rendering them in stems, and mix in your own stuff! Even if it's just leads and effects, or a perc line, it can really spice up a set

playing a live instrument is cool too (but not an effect)           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

Ive been focusing on digital mixing with Live, and the only effects I need are handled by Sugar Bytes Turnado           .
