Meh. It's gonna suck.
If I hype movies too much to myself, I usually enjoy them less. Keeping that in mind:

It's a Rodriguez film so it will have a kick ass art design but not much more than that which already indicates that it'll be the best Predator movie yet.

After the AVP Movies there is now way to make is worse.

Oh, nathan. and u call yourself a journalist .
well unlike this topic's title, this is not a remake and has nothing to do with the movies that came before.
this one takes place on the homeplanet of the predators, which means new creatures (predator dogs for example seen in the trailer) and new predators design.
Like pavel said this should be promising as it is under Rodriguez's supervision, though he did not direct ( A dude called Nimrod Antal did, his recent features being "vacany" and "armoured").
get to the choppah !!!

Also, Nimrod Antal made a very nice Hungarian film by the name of Kontrol.

Antal is good! Haven't watched his other films but kontroll was refreshing. I loved the direction in this movie and i also think he's one to watch in the future.

Yes, i know. Its got nothing to do with avp movies.
Or predator 1 or 2.
So maybe it wasn't right to call it A Predator 1 remake. But it is a remake in a way just like Batman begins and the dark knight movies are a remake to Batman. Its a remake to the franchise /idea.

The term you are referring to in regards to the batman franchise is called a REBOOT, the same they are doing now with the nightmare on Elm street franchise.
and afaik there is no Total recall remake underway
