Pre-fader is...
When your signal (sound)...goes through your fx sends, while your channel fader is down...
So u'll hear only the "wet" sound from your fx sends...
On an analog mixer...
Select pre-fader on the channel u wish to send to aux sends...
Send it 2 an fx unit...
The fx-unit must be in another channel from your mixer (Output fx in Mixer Channel & aux 1 out in FX Input)
Now...send the channel with the fx to a bus (group channel)..
Et voila...
Digital is depending on the software u use... |

ahhhhhhh, after a bit of fiddling i worked it out, quite simple really. However how do i go about panning the signal going through the aux send in cubase? and when i pull the volume on the kickdrum channel should the wet signal still be there?
cheers. |

If you put fx on a channel and make it all wet....you'll have the same effect, but with the panning option...only the effect is for that channel only....
I don't know much about Cubase...but it must be possible...
Try and send some channels directly to a group channel + fx...
and make that group pre-fader...or all selected channels...
Fiddle it....let me hear ya fiddle it.... |
