In Belgium lot's of people discribe (what i call: happy feelgood (morning) trance
like astrix and family as powertrance.
is it also globaly called that?
or how do you guys/girls name happy feelgood trance?
(jeej! my first real topic, time to play some joy-trance  )

more like melodic morning full on...
(personally i would call it commercial full on....)

as far as i'm concerned the purpose of that term is mostly to belittle artists (belgian) folks don't like (admittedly including me at times)
if someone likes twisted system, he'll call it psytrance, full on or dark psy
if someone doesn't like suria, he'll call it predictable, commercial and powertrance
it really isn't worth to bother about it |

Same here, though dutch people call all the substyles in psytrance psytrance, because 90% of the trance community in The Netherlands doesn't know there even IS a style like psytrance. All they know about trance is Tiėsto and Armin van Buuren and such DJ's 
However, I call it morning full on. Just like the rest of you apparently.

Point is, some artist are going commercial, so they are producing tracks with a club touch (by the way you guys have heard last Infected Mushroom release with a "radio edit"?, you can call it cheesey), so you may hear astrix, skazi & gang in some clubs that are mainly house or gatecrasher trance related. I say this because every now and then I go to a house club which sometimes features artists like System F, Gouryella and everytime I go there I recognize some israeli psy-club trance tracks thrown to the dance floor. Oh, and here in Japan, as in Belgium, this genre of trance is called PowerTrance or CyberTrance. In short words, it's psy going clubbing.
