just one litle thingy for C3PO
i guess you know a bit about sound from your wise words but just one comment, compressing is not a rule in sound it's more a way to fix a signal than to handle it with every base line or kick you make

Did i say that "compressing it's a rule in sound" ???
I think it depends on the sound itself ,
"to compress or not compress" - it's a question of
sound . |

"always cut-off everything bellow 20hz out of yo
kick&bass , and compress each one of them "
as far as i know "always" is somthing like a rule...

I don't think anyone of us can hear under 20Hz neither there aren't too many monitors or speakers that can reproduce this kind of sound. But there are some unwanted effects that those low frequency waves can do to the music.
Something that i learnt in Electronics. Intermodulations, interception points and stuff. Bla blah boring crap, gotta sleep.

Ok , if u know all psychoaccoustic physics and
electromagnetic carachteristics of yo monitors
and most speakers in general ,
u can cutoff even bellow 30hz because i'm shure
that almost no speaker can move his LF drive
at this rate .
so , this specific "always" u can take as a "rule".
"wise words" spoken ,
C3PO smokin' .

EZ ,

So many thing for a bassline???
Come on you guys you just need to check what you want to do, and use your tools to do it the best way you can , and if it doesn't appear to be done at the beginning you should continue until you get it, after this you know how to do bass lines.
It's all a matter of pacience time and percision.
