I'm just wondering how to get a snare sound to drop over my main break which sounds like the ones featured in "Astrix - Monster (rmx)". Infected mushroom and Sub 6 also employ this sort of sound and i'm wondering how to make it myself. I imagine it might be something with a long reverb tail which is bounced to audio and then shortened but which sound do i apply this effect to! Any ideas???? |

gated reverb is indeed what u need... And samples from real-life drums, not from a drum-machine, and a compressor (but don't be too aggressive with the compressor) also, add reverb after the compressor... |
