Whenever i use (Waves or other) software EQs while mixing, i notice that they "eat away" some of the clarity of the original signal. The same happens with the software compressors and limiters i know of. I'm wondering whether someone here knows if this is less of an issue with the eq's and dynamics processors of the TC Works Powercore. |

Yip, i work at 24 bits/ 48 Khz. This is a major improvement over 16 bits/ 44 Khz, but when i eq a channel which has a mixdown in it with some reverb, i can clearly hear that the reverb-tail gets foggy. |

That's because usually reverbs are among the last in the chain

=))) hihi, i know, but i also do some eq-ing of the main mix. And i'm working at 24 bits /48 Khz so i sometimes do mixdowns of stuff with a processor-hungry reverb, so i don't have the reverbs running all the time. But yeah... it's probably better to postpone adding reverbs to the final stage mixing. |
