ok so i bought last month uad project pak and i love it!! but im looking for more fx in this league! and i mean fx not only compressors etc.. things like cs-1 plug ins. is there anything intersting in the powercore family?
and how are those roland plug ins for uad? i want something crazy but in the quality of the cs-1 (sounds clean and clear even when its 100% feedback ).

Cs-1 is a channel strip , i havent see any powercore channel strip plug yet
but for fx , i think the tc reverbs are the best of the best, and the chorus-delay is awesome , they have also a plug called "filtroid" where u have two filters with lfos that can b sync, and an envelope that can really do crazy things to your sound
.though the dynamic processors cannot b compared with UADs , these rock ..
the new tc platform , has sidechaining in ALL of their plugins (reverb, compressors, delay , filters) , even on the synthesizers and u can route your signal wherever u like , or combine more signals , or take a sound and put through the Roland SH101 emulation to use its distortion or envelopes and things like that ..and one more good thing is that u can load much more plugins than uad cards
but if u are interested in dynamics , you'd better buy another uad card instead of a powercore ..

there is in powercore something called voice-strip(channelstrip) not so special but the gate is very good for percussion. furthermore.. agree with gutter and.. masterx3 is the dsp version of the tc-limiter with very good presets. consider also the cheaper baby-poco, 2 dsp's is for just fx probably enough. when i dont use the poco synths i never use more then 2 dsp's, the fw has 4 dsp's.
if you are into spending, why not this one

for real good compression (i suppose)

focusrite has only eqs & compressors

go and buy a sonic-scope project(small pack) & b happy ,, has a lot fx
and some great synths

I dunno, but a couple of friends of mine use the focusrite liguid mix and really like it. I've used it a few times, and although the interface has a few quirks, the sound of the eq's and comps is pretty good and can give a nice character to your mixes.
