Powerbook weird behavior

hi there.. to everybody i been working for about 4 months with my powerbook g4 1.5 ghz etc etc and was cool (except for a dead pixel on the screen) i just came back from travelling and i turned on the computer on my way back home... but the screen started to flash if like, the brightness controls where from more to less or something like that but very fast... i wonder if anyone here had the same problem at some point... im kind of concerned cuz its almost new (not even 4 months, 3 and a half) and it just happened twice ...
i would appreciatte any feedback or recomendation! thanx in advance |

the screen is going.. i would talk to apple and send it back.. they will fix it for free but do it before the waranty runs out....
i have herd of ppl having this prob but after they fiv it it should be fine... |

definately im going to take it to the service center man.
thanx for the info a friend also had the trouble and told me eventually it quited so... whatever i ratter be sure whats going on

Hello Victor this is Papo, this mac's are going nuts, I just got mine too since a little more than a month and i had to take it to service because one card I belive it's called the logical card malfunctioned from one day to other, so finaly they had it replaced with a new one at the mac service center.
So yes, if the problem has to do with hardware they won't charge you any money, so take it to the service center a.s.a.p and hopefully we will have more of the Substance sound for the days to come. Cya later mate!

mine does that too once in awhile- looks like old tv snow mixed with vertical lines like v-hold. might be overheating, as powerbooks do. reach around the back, by the power supply, and if its hot as fuck, give it a rest for awhile, and when you turn it back on, make sure there is good ventilation, or even put a fan by it.
as the people above said though, you might want to get it looked at too, though

id bet the ribbon cable is coming loose from the screen or one of the boards, still , send it back for repair, dont try it at home!
