Power Supply Problem

I think my power supply is messed up.
While working, the power (of the pc) simply went off.
Now it won't turn on anymore. When I press the power button, all fans (except the PSU fan) turn a bit, and nothing happens.
The LED on the motherboard are still working.

How can I know it's the PSU that failed, for sure? I don't want to buy a new one just to find out the problem is somewhere else.

Speaking of PSU's, how are Thermaltake PSU's?

u can't do a better check , than replacing the psu itself.

I don't think u should do shortcuts man
if u want to be sure - go to someone with a psu that can check the pc there.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

...or, maybe a virus/trojan whatever which shots down system...

i would say that the psu is shot man. mobo light and fans are provided passive power maybe through the psu, but i think trip said it right. replace the psu to know for sure. unless there is a hardware guru out there, there is no viable shortcut that i know of.

hope you get it working           www.organicparadox.com

led s have very small power-consumption ( >2V/>20mA ) so they can emit even if the psu is half dead.
however, i ve got found smt. -maybe one of these works...
