what do you mean with decouple the monitors btw? ive put them symmetrically in spaces from left/right front sides, sit one some foam on diy mdf stands in ear position, plus the one i made recently for the monitors, gave some better placement with cables and space.. sound is still to boomy in there, cant solve that
*ps.. bald agent 000 will revenge mate. vespa is gonna blast off in universe someday

By decoupling i mean the foam... cool!
If still too boomy try some monitor stands, should be like 50 euros .i guess it will boom less...i use stands and it improved a lot after i moved them from the wooden surface i had it before... especially if the mdf-stands resonate on the desk..
The stands you have now look like a box so i guess they will boost the lows either or other way....the bass will surely penetrate there...i suggest you get rid of them...

Indeed the boxes might resonate, i dont like also the fact that the sound hit on the desk, another reflection area i dont want, but the real big problem is the room itself, the ceiling and walls, the rooms' sound is booming, though if i manage to make some space for stands behind the desk for the monitors, they will be to close to the front wall, anyway hopefully i find the best solution for that.
