In the interests of continuity and staying on topic, I have summed up the off-topic portion of this thread into one simple, easy to understand image.

ARE THERE EXCEPTIONS FOR PEOPLE WHOSE CAPS LOCK KEY IS BROKEN, OR FOR INTERNATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY (COMING UP ON JUNE 28)?

question for the gallery...

Is it not the goal of a DJ or producer to make people dance?
Is that what we should all strive for?

@paradigm... indeed

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disc_jockey

A disc jockey (also known as DJ or deejay) is a person who selects and plays recorded music for an audience

A Live PA/Artist should perform his music live. Perhaps a different arrangement or similar elements with different sounds.

Sounds like Gemini was a good time from what I can see here except for that one night.

then that being the case... and alluding back to my review of the performances...

If you are playing at a Festival with nearly 400 in attendance, with a peak night slot
and have 7 (yes 7 people dancing, i counted just for this exact reason)

have you not failed at this?

no, to me there is no duty involved being a producer or dj is something you do voluntarily because you love it you have not been elected therefore you have no duties if the apex of the experience that you want to create is a dance riot than that is what YOU choose to do as a musician or DJ... however if others are trying to create a more internally based experince that explores different possibilites without dance as the focus who is anyone to say that is not the right way to be an artist.

fail or not fail, looks like moderator is leaning on side
is it for gigs ?
Talking about guidelines Jeto, you've shamelessly promoted yourself and posted djsets on a separate threads when there were already threads open for it.
now what, delete this post ?

I agree with you here, but if you are trying to create a experience at a "rave" or "festival" without dance being the focus go play chill out.           https://www.djjeto.com
