Everything was fun to read, except for the lengthy cryptic posts. And I need more popcorn.

In my past life I wouldn’t even be on this forum.
Reincarnation rocks, doesn’t it?

Anyway, here’s the thing: I am a noob, who is not plugged into The Scene in any way. Have not met a single psy trancer in person in my whole life, have never been to a single party.

So, the closest I’ve been to experiencing The Scene is reading this Forum. You have parties and festivals – past and future. Most of you know each other personally. To me, these flying electrons here are The Scene.

Call me naïve, but I’d like to hope it’s more about good music, positive vibes, friendly people and – yes, again! – colorful visuals than about petty egos and stupid arguments about whose schlong is longer.

I am not saying by any means that you don’t have a right to have cock fights here (pun or no pun, whatever). First Amendment all the way. And maybe even Second too. It’s just not why I personally come here. If the thread were titled “Cheese vs. Horror Big Ego Pissing Contest”, I would just leave it alone. That’s not the name of this thread though, is it?

Ahm, sorry to annoy you again, fine psychedelic folks. Can we see more of that North Californian goodness?

Those are fine too. Hopefully, Emily will translate those some day. Apparently, she's fluent in Lizzard.

Maine Coon, for what it's worth, when you get a group of us together at a party, we're the chillin'est group of people one could meet.

Get us on an internet forum, or group e-mail listing, though, and we turn into a bunch of whining pansies.

Strange, I know.

I imagine only being online, then going to a party being similar to a culture shock.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

I indeed pull out, as it seemed nothing further could be gained.
Wichdokta requested the squabbling stop, so i dropped it, but as others have not i will respond to directly to a few individuals on here.

AFTER THIS I AM DONE. IF ANY OF THE STATEMENTS I AM ABOUT TO MAKE, ENRAGE, ANGER, ANNOY OR JUST GET UNDER YOUR SKIN, KNOW THIS......
I WILL NO LONGER LOOK AT THIS THREAD, HOWEVER IF ANYBODY WISHES TO CHALLENGE OR DISCUSS THE MERITS OF WHAT I SAY, I WILL GLADLY COMMUNICATE WITH YOU, WHOMEVER YOU MAY BE IN PM......

@ Mr. Lizard, i will get to you first. I wish i could say my A.D.D would allow me to read through your posts in their entirety. It does not.
I did however read your psychological review of me, and i find it funny that you reached some conclusions.
I did note that you labeled it a joke at the bottom still..
You say i provoke something, then retreat into a victim mode.
Let me draw a parallel for you.

Much like restaurants have critics, movies have critics, literature has critics, and art has critics, why can't the music we like also be subject to such criticism?
Assuming that it can be which it is (nothing in this world is above being reviewed by a pier), one could consider me a critic. Who appointed me such? No one. My experience of 15 years in this scene gives me the credentials to be such. My position as both successful DJ and organizer gives me license to be so.
But nothing says that no one else can be either.

Much like the movie, or literary critic, my words are both laced with venom, and contrite humor at the same time. I may praise a set just as much as i may rip it a new one. The criteria in this is not so much the music itself, as it is the performance. As it is how the set is received by the event and public.

Now lets play pretend for a second and assume a literary (for example) gives a book a scaldingly bad review. Even though is this book is liked by piers of its author, and lauded by its publisher.
Is it right then for those piers and/or publisher (not even the author) to call the critics credentials into question?
Is it right to tell the world in slander that this esteemed literary critic is in fact ill-literate and can not read? To with this slander jeopardize any future work this critic may have for simply doing his job?
I would hardly think so., but yet this situation is comparable.

So when a artist (whoever the fuck they may be) clears a dancefloor and when the set in question is being spoken of by nearly everyone at the event the following day in not so positive terms ,

*****(quick side-bar-- reading this forum, one would think that what i say here is a lie, but bear in mind that of a event with 400 people at it, about 20 are posted here, only a small sampling of people who were actually there. )*****

... then why should it not be pointed out? If such a performance had such a dramatic impact. Be it good or bad, that it was the talk of the event, should it not be discussed, in whatever manner the prevailing feeling about it was?

If you will notice, most of those offended the most here, are producers or DJ's of this style. Not common event goers. Not other promoters of multi-style events.
Your loyalties are slanted, and are for each other. Not for the good of the event, nor neutral in any way.
Much like the authors piers and publisher coming to his aid, and not the reading public who has been duped into purchasing rubbish by quotes on the book jacket purporting it to be a great read.

I will also finish with that, while not only are you coming after me based upon loyalties, and not other reasons, I also offer that many of you are far too thin skinned. Unable to withstand anything negative said about your works.
As a artist putting something out to the public, you can not assume that everyone will heap praise on you, and love what you do...
but it certainly seems that anytime anybody says something not so nice of your efforts and pisses in you cheerios, not many of you really can handle it, with de-evolving into juvenile name calling.

I am deciding against addressing Nate and Ben, as what i have to say there, will only further inflame matters, and lower me to the name calling level of which i am speaking against.

yeah ok, so i peeked again,
and with my grammatical error in that particular statement.. which is rather ironic

well go ahead and laugh. I would, and am.

I am completely capable of laughing at myself, which again is part of the point i make.
I am not immune from criticism, but many of you hold yourself as if you are

unprecedented isratrance controversy flowing from the west coast...forgive me for staying on the moderation sidelines. as you've all proven, you're capable of moderating yourselves. besides, with 4500+ hits and counting, the promotional ROI has hit exponentially worthwhile levels

Is this point of view one which opens up or closes down? I don't know

Job well done paradigm, i get what a critic is, I also get what a biased opinion is as well... I also support human thought characterized by expansion in multiple directions, rather than in one direction, although it get's confused as anti-establishment, i keep goan... I've been aware dat our credentials are kinda the same, I've been spinning realities longer, i have organized the young sound, old sound, both sounds together, this type of diversity is only important if it were under your belt, no? When i mirror you with criticism, you say I'm throwing fire as if I'm to blame, there is a psychological review word for that. I've even greeted you at the gate of a party i helped organize but I'm the issue...When you come to Asheville, allow me to treat you out to dinner or something longer than a quick second...It's a shame you can't read through my cryptic post, i do have a hidden meaning and feel dat life can be a puzzle. I'm being a brainlizzard ((2))a-tee, virtual-reality-spinning, to say the least...

For the last 7 years the real instigators, bullies of who has the biggest cock, us and them shit, has been the ones who don't like the new sounds of Darkness, this global brain's reality affects our society more than we realize, because it can be manipulated for good and for ill, we have no heart to make our life choice to use it as good, it seems... Stop shutting us down global brain, then blaming us, start choosing reconciliation over hatred. Fixed thinking has always been the majority and now it is in our little World of trance. Trance music/dancing with limits are already here, Goa would roll over in her grave if she were in human form.. We are very tired of hearing the bull shit, Pull your own veil back global brain, stereotypical thinking works both ways, try thinking with diversity and tolerance next time. Practices what your records preach, love.... We are a society of dance music, we don't run this planet which has these same issues, GoaLove can't make a difference if the people who support her can't get along... we are not your enemy Global brain, stop protecting your own social-psychological position, your own game investment, allow for us to breathe in peace, please!!!
