I am well aware that i am going to get flamed here , and am probably wasting the effort in trying to convey anything on this board, as judgment is cast against me, before i even say anything.

Please, all of you, for one second, do me a favor, and instead of having the A-typical knee jerk "we all hate Paradigm response"
take a deep breath and listen,(well read) what i am saying... or trying to at least convey...

Squee, first off to you. By calling me a douchebag, you drop yourself to my level, actually lower.
Not once have i ever called anyone a name.(aside from Gil, whom i have a personal history with)

I could say things like:
(MIND YOU I AM NOT MEANING THIS, I AM MERELY MAKING A POINT HERE, SO DON'T TAKE THIS LITERALLY)
"you are a insulated wimp, who doesn't have the backbone to handle anything critical said about yourself"
I AM NOT SAYING THAT, I AM JUST DRAWING ON CONTEXT FROM PREVIOUS THREADS TO MAKE A POINT

but i don't...., I did not call Cindervomit any names. Hell, re-read my first post. I didn't even name him.
Maybe i was talking about Unwashed Tomatoes, maybe i was talking about Puskara.
All of you jumped to the conclusion of who i was talking about.
I worded my review very carefully, because while yes, it may seem harsh, it was not meant to cost anyone any bookings or anything else.
It was in fact witty, and given the nature of the music represented.
I in fact thought the anecdote about the 7th level of hell was somewhat fitting, as quite often certain elements of that theme and vibe are sampled into the style of music in question.

Nothing i say about any artist on here is slanderous.
(I will openly admit, that Gil is the exception, but honestly I'm not even a blip on his radar)

Comments on corrupt crews and promoters are a different matter, as they deserve whatever they have coming to them.
I don't think any of us who are in this for the right reasons, can disagree with that stance.

A review is just a review. Deal with it, rebuke it if you feel you should, and get over it.

but there is this "We all hate Paradigm", gangbang mentality here, that even with out me saying something that bad, everyone blows it out of proportion.

and by calling me names such as Douche or other obscenities you make yourself a much bigger one of (insert expletive here), than you all portray me to be.

Oh and FYI, CinderVomit and I have been having a nice civil discussion in PM, while you all insist on continuing to flame me.

Interestingly enough, even tho, he's really the only one with a legit reason to be mad, he's the only one that's handled this like a adult

I wish I had been there so I could tel you all to STFU about this.

SOMEONE has to be the hardest. just so happens someone who actualy had some REAL hard shit got the job. Sounds like he did the job and did it well.

In all honesty, it sounds like there needs to be more argument about how there was 6 hours of dudes playing the same style of full on morning on Sunday morning. I know a guy that woulda made it a bit different... Then you woulda had two things to bitch about, Lawrence. One guy that was too hard, and one guy that was too "disrespectful to the music."           Spacecamppsyfari.com

I believe there were 3 LIVE acts on sunday morning....(and Christine is definitely not a dude.) Professional live acts with actual music releases in the trance community.

C’mon, you guys (and girls) – enough of that petty ugliness already!

Out of 14 pages of all the stuff here maybe 2 actually describe what was going on at the festival. And for those of us who did not go there these two pages are the reason we came to read this thread. Not a dozen of pages of figuring out who is a bigger douche bag and whose wiwimacher hangs better. PLUR my foot!..

One person did not like one particular time period – because he prefers cheese to (oh, no, I am going to say it...) dark. Fine with me – everybody is entitled to a unique taste. The same person did not like to see a deserted dance floor during one of the sets. Fine with me again – what kind of an organizer would he be if he didn’t feel concerned? So, when I read this, I figured “OK, 5 people loved it, one person liked everything except for the Friday night sets”. That’s it. Life is going on.
I’d love to see more pictures and people’s impressions. Especially since it turns out there is no “I’ll see it next year”.

Who needs all that “us vs. them” shit and yet another “dark is way too dark even if you listen to it in the dark” sermons?

Let’s see more beautiful colorful pictures!

I find this so god damn hilarious. You guys book dark acts and then bitch when they go all out, playing what is considered to be the best of dark psy. I mean seriously, did you guys even listen to examples of what they play before booking them? I would suggest doing this as this isn't the first time I've heard whining about someone playing dark. Here's an idea. ONLY BOOK LAME ASS GAY PSY. That seems to be what you guys want at your festivals. seriously man. Think about what you are booking before you book them. I personally do not want to ever play at any of the events on the west coast because all you guys do is whine that it's too fast or too dark. Stick to your stupid full on or proggy shit. I'll keep rocking the crowds that love the dirty, fast psycore.

I seriously think that all the dark acts on here should just abandon this website and move over to triplag. No whining and crying over there.

Yeah, let's petition for more "LAME ASS GAY PSY." It's my favorite up and coming psy genre.           http://www.soundcloud.com/djKAHN

yes he would. comment all you want about that, doesn't faze me. I'm just sick and tired of people booking dark acts, then whining when they play "too dark". It's stupid. Don't book dark acts unless you can handle it. Especially Cinder. He plays some of the darkest tunes out there. Like I tell people when they book me....expect me to go well over 200 bpm. It's still psy people. Everything in life has the light side, and the dark side. There are extremes on both ends. Some of us just happen to play the extreme tunes.

If you didn't go to Gemini why the hell are you posting in this thread? This is a post Gemini thread to review the event whether good or bad. If you didn't go you should keep your mouth shut and voice your opinions on events and things that you were actually apart of and attended!!
I don't go on threads and post shit on parties I never attended. That's just stupid and it would appear to me that everyone who is posting is just bored and looking to pick fights. I'm not going to name any names but to all the people posting who didn't attend PLEASE stop posting already....

This is the internet Liz. People can post what they want, where they want, when they want. You have no authority over the internet. You guys really hit a nerve when you slam dark psy. I didn't know who I was until I found dark psy. It is my saving grace. You seem to think your frilly full on crap is the only sub-genre of psy there should be. Take a listen to some of my mixes and tell me none of the tunes in them are good. I guarantee you will find something you like.

Er, Paradigm didn't book the trance stage this year, he just did the downtempo/dubstep stage this year. Rich was back in charge of booking the main stage and I'm sure he knew what he was getting and that's why he said thank you, great job, hooray for everyone, etc.

I'm not responding to anything else on this thread because I respect Rich and I feel it is rude to continue arguing after the organizer of the event said enough is enough.

If you have an issue with me or what to discuss any matter like an adult than feel free to hit me up.           www.horizonscolorado.com
