Is it possible to take a pre-made wav file, say a kick sample made in stomper, then load it into a bank in absynth or something and be able to:
1. Tweak it using the synth's mods/patches etc.
and
2. Just have the kick track as a midi track instead of wav samples>

If it is, how do you do it?
So basically make a wav into a synth sound and be able to play it using the midi keyboard or whatever.
Thanks in advance.

Like spaceman said maybe u want to use a sampler.

But with Absynth u can do what u described and version 3 can be used as fx. So u can use a sampler and send its output into Absynth3 and tweak it with its features.            Signature

Sympthom is worth a go.Really fucked up synth.
Some patches for Reaktor 4 let u do that as well

Basically u could do what u are asking with any wavetable based synth. Results may not be what u expect......
