Does anyone have any starters tips on creating plugins for MacOS 9? I have written in abundance of software synthesizers and nifty effects, and it would by fun to "port" them to plugins, so I (and others) can use my doings in logic...
Alternatively for Mac OS X since this seems more future-oriented...

It's not clear from where you want to port it from, Windows ?
OS 9 is pretty much obsolete, unless you really addict to it.
For OS X get the developer package from Apple with XCode, it's free.

Wow, under my nose the whole time - thanks
Hayez> The "port" was in quotations, just for that reason - I want to "port" from my own standalone C-code, to some plugin-compatible watchamacallits... Hmm, it seems it's time to fight my OS 9 addiction

VST is the easiest way to go, and it can work on OS 9, OS X and windows. AU has better design consept, but also has steep learning curve.
Both have good documentation and exellent user forums.

but then if you want to use them in logic 6,7 on OS X, AU is the only way. |
