Hi. I've been struggling with gliding notes... there are sum things that confuse me like how many semitones should it glide, general settings, note lenghts, and so, cause there are some synths like z3ta that can auto glide and have other settings.
Basically i'm triying to use it in a melodic way not just pitch bending delayed sounds... ananda shake melodies come to my mind, maybe you know what i mean all those cheesy super emotional portamento leads at the end of tracks like Final Call / Wise Study of LSD... not trying to copy cat but those tracks just amaze me.
Cheers. |

you can start by drowing the notes a bit farther and putting a smaller note or the same lentgh above them or before they end...so they clash and if you want it to be in a melody just stay on the scale and in zeta try to push it a bit by a bit till it sounds good enough...hope it helps.. |

if I want to make the glide from one certain note to another, i usually adjust the pitchbend range of the synth to what i need and then automate the pitch in piano roll from default position to the maximum.

TBL bassline is perfect for gliding!
It has a nice knob for adjusting the glide speed.
I sometimes put a full bar note (sometimes even 4 bars) on a lower octave and the melody on a higher octave so the glide is consist on one note

just a little up to ask something to virus users :
how the f*ck the portamento works in viruses ?
I'm pretty familiar with "glide" function in Vanguard, ABL, Albino, etc... But the portamento within the viruses sounds weird.
For example i had no problems to make glidin' basslines with Vanguard but for now i'm not able to do the same with the TI...it seems to have just one knob for both portamento mix AND portamento speed...kinda weird huh?
help ^^ |

I think that knob is just for the speed...speed = 0 is portamento off.
