I would have been pissed off if we'd had to wait for 12 hours or longer to get in like many others, but we were lucky and got in within about 5 hours.

It was my first Boom, and I was very impressed with the deco, little green areas, uncountable little and big pieces of art etc.

The music generally was quite boring though, especially on the dance floor, with the exception of Frank E, the band playing before him, and small bits of other sets.

I enjoyed the music at the chill out a lot more, some bits on the other stages were nice too.

There also was a (very) little stand near the sacred fire area that played nice reggae/dancehall.

25000 visitors on the terrain, but the place was huge so it never really feeled overcrowded to me.. though of course not exactly intimate either

We were in the lake every day and drank the "tap" water with the chloride taste, but didn't get sick.

The "living conditions" didn't bother me that much, but then I'm used to teknivals without any facilities.

We had a great time, but with great music it could have been amazing. I'm quite sure I'm not going to Boom 2010, instead I'll be looking for some smaller, cheaper festivals with better line ups.

With all honesty, I think Boom ended back in 2002.
Everything changed so much after: different concept; different music; different crowd; different spirit; different energy. The incredible things that happened back then just don't happen anymore. :|
Some people like it better now, it's fair, but most just don't identify themselves with it anymore.
It's a shame, the old crowd was the most amazing people in the world. :/           Opus Iridium

/me still on my way out of portugal going to greece and all i can say as during this transit is that BOOm organization really disappointed me this year. with all due respect diogo and the rest you guys need some classes on logistiks and customer care because you treated people like animals and a beautiful place into a fenced farm

They manage to fence the whole place down into several areas with barbed wire which is the most evil creation ever made -- just to hurt, make blood and pain.

I am proud i have destroyed a few fences by kicking them down as i jumped into the festival. I wish i had tools to break the whole fences down.

The security guys at the entrance were a bunch of aggressive and rude bastards! They punched a portuguese guy in front of me just because he was pissing near the entrance. The police saw and did nothing unless he would go to the police station and press charges.

Hopefully i will have free time to write a full detailed review a publish some articles worldwide telling how so much have changed over the course of years.

Hopefully a man will stand for his words and assume his mistakes when messing with so many lives and treating them as though they were making a favor to serve when everyone payed and travelled so far.

once and for all antiboom underground event is the worst living reflection of the huge lack of professionalism and greed from the Boom organization side, no excuses as to have conflict with brothers and sisters.

still i managed to have 12 hours of fun, only, thanks to all the great people, music, art and the good vibe flowing around -- everyone so amazing, maybe we should look for a better place for the next experience because Diogo and his company are turning this scene into a ridiculously bad joke when seen from out of his dumb box.

of course, separating fun, patience and understanding from respect and proper treatment for guests is not an easy task, for sure it got out of control because the organizers were amateurs when it came to planing and to treating guest how they deserve.

no lockers or a safe place to store luggage except a lousy place ruled by no-one where someone STOLE something precious from my bag.

will see about boom 2010, maybe in court.

sorry for breaking the NRG but i had to spit this out for sure i would go 2010 to be there and make BOOM what boom is inside us but only if i see respekt coming from the organization, only if they stop acting like celebrities and show their faces.

love, peace and boom-shaka-lak-respekt

if this org keeps like that i hope they change the name of the festival to stop spoiling the holy name of boom and the legend created by it's scene
          cna't find it

so where to start?
i get inside that forume to write about the boom and i must say i was realy surprised with all tha complain about every thing so lets see how i deal with this.

so for me it was the best experience ever in the festival scane,

yes, there where queue's every where, from the entrance to the food to the toilete everywhere i went there was a queue, in fact,i think i spent lots of time that way........so what????

yes, there where so many people in the festival, so what, its a good festival and every year more and more people that hear about this event want to come and take part in this festival so for sure every time will be more people that will come

yes, the festival is not cheap, but everywhere life become more expensiv and in the festival u can make the choice if to make food by u r self or to buy it

yes, i think that the people how work on this kind of event deserve to earn money for there work
its alittel bit more then just bring some dj and put the speakers

i think that for the concept they choose the deco was realy realy nice', just to grow the small gardens in the middel of the desert...wow

the music was realy nice, even that i prefer old music and the new one sometimes to fast for me i anjoy every day from something else.

anyway i can write and write but i think that the big point is that was very very nice festival with all the problems that what to do heppend is this kind of event/

i dont know about all the people that complain, i finish this festival with the taste for more

see u in the next boom

Would anyone know if the Antix brothers performed on the 2nd night at the Groovy Beach stage?

I stood there and saw two similar guys, black hair (one short, one longer hair), little beardy, performing a liveact with a Mac.

I'm quite sure it had to be them, but nowhere they appeared on the lineup.

Anyone?

I've really enjoyed the experience, once again. Goodvibes, almost all arround.

Big stress to bring The Tree Shepherd in for the openning act at the Ambient Forest. But afterwards, as the magical tribal music started, all ran smoothly.

The last afternoon/ night at the mainfloor was something to remember for a long time. DJ Plurgrim and Tristan knocked me out. It was like the announcement of the end brought all the energie back out.

Points to be improved: alternative entrances and behavioral formation to the security crew.

And what happended to the Boom money? A detail that took its toll on the magic.           "In the absence of light, darkness will prevail..."

To Hg:

The barbed wire always was there and its not BOOM Org responsable for that... the spot is from a person that has no connection with the Org, he rents the spot for the Festival, and its because of the animals that are there during the year... the fence was not putted there exclusibly for the Festival. :/           "If we don't create our future, our past will create it for us"...

for me it was very disappointing, it was my fourth boom and probably the worst of them all.. after the amazing boom 2006 i was expecting much much more..

good things: so many friends, nice gardens to rest, groovy beach!!!!! (especially extrawelt, paul ritch, expander, anti, kaesar), some dancefloor music (mubali, parus...)

bad things: overall organization, food, bathrooms, WAY too much people, the music @ dancefloor in the morning..

like someone said boom got way too big, the org got way too greedy and almost all the spirit was lost, i don't think i'll be going to boom in 2010!           When I dance, I put myself in the DJ's hands to take me to a journey - the unconscious journey to reality

KARKEIJA KREW!!!!!!!! dancing is the phrr fo da powa

For me it was the 1st time @ the Boom. I've had a really good time, and it was an overal very good experience.

For sure there were many people, but I think that it wasn't so much of a problem. As for queues, well yeah there were many, but with a bit smart behaviour you could avoid most big queues and go pick what you want from somewhere else. So many stores inside, it was tough not to find something to eat or drink easily. I mean there were some huge lines for pizza @ a specific place whereas no queues at all almost next door ! I couldn't get the stubborn behaviour of some people to insist on waiting for something for such a long time, when they could just go somewhere else or postpone it for a little while. Anywayz....

The prices were reasonable for the most part. I mean, there were juices for 4 euros, but you could find with 2 euros as well. Food with 7-8 euros, and also with 2 euros per portion. All someone had to do was just take a look at the stores and compare prices.

The free portable water was my main water supply throughout the event, and my friend's as well. We feel really sorry for the ones who got a disease, but we still feel really good and never had a problem during our stay at all. We felt great throughout the whole fest, if not revived (many juices, plenty of water, frequent short showers in the lake, the showers, and even getting wet at the portable water spots.)

The liminal village was fantastic, I got to see most of the interesting parts, Erik davis, Robert Venosa and Martina Hoffman were some of the highlights for me.

Sacred fire area was my main spot, great place, amazing vibes and some really vibrant and spiritual music most of the time.

The lake was a delight in the beginning at least, and it would be throughout the whole fest if there were some less morons polluting it ! I mean there were places to pee and poo almost everywhere....Jeezzz.....

It was the first time in a festival where I really didnt bother about the line-up or the dancefloor. I went to the main stage to dance very few times, I had so many other things to do or simply walk and walk around like stupid staring at all the installations and people....or simply relaxing at some soft spots and corners around the lake watching the beautiful sky....

Last but not least, as described by Erik davis in his speech, I had the chance to experience some strong apocalyptic visions...If not the strongest ever ! That little red stars.....

          Bring yourselves into the light
