Yes we are screwed if you don't have a boombus ticket!
Just took a look at the train timetable, and besides the travelling time, which is a whopping 12 hours!!!!, we'll probably arrive half a day later!
Train departs at 22:45 at night, which means we arrive little before 12:00 o'clock the 12th.
I guess the music starts the 11th at 00:00, am I correct?
Anyone travelling by car from Madrid?
We need two seats! |

hey Djones...
i DID get some answers from the info e-mail:
"Answering to your questions:
1) Yes, you’ll be able to buy it only at the airport. We’ll be lcated at Terminal 1, Arrivals 1, Tourism Bus Parking 1. There you’ll find our collaborators that will help you.
2) These tickets will be only for that way, Madrid – Boom. We’ll sell returns from there to airports inside the festival, at our Bom shope, located on place."
so get some positive vibes back and stop crying...
ahh back to boom after 4 years... G R E A T

I will stop CRYING, it's just the fact that all of a sudden when you think everything is set and we're ready to go, things almost go wrong.

And how about Porto?
Is it possible to buy your Boombus ticket at Porto as well?

If you're referring to me, which I think you do.
Then how can you be so sure about me not being able to decide how to get to Boom.
It could be a handful of reasons and the above stated one isn't correct.
As nowhere on the Boomsite is any mentioning about Boombus tickets not being available thru their site anymore from a certain date or so, I think it's very understandable for me to react in such a way, I did.
And btw, that E-mail address I referred my questions to really 'DIDN'T' work here.
Another 'btw', I still have enough 'positive vibes' in me. |

hey don't be offended
of course the buses are aleady full from long time ago, how do you expect 30,000 or 40,000 people to get there?
Anyway, the magic of going to a festival is to leave some room to coincidence and good surprises. trust me it will all run smoothly. it is better if you arrive a bit late to the festival because you will be standing in the long queue anyway for hours!
ideally try to catch a ride with someone going from the Lisbon or Porto. I think you have more chances of finding someone from Porto (check couchsurf website if you're a memeber, many members are offering rides)
you will get there in a way or another, just don't panic |

Djones i spoke in general and there's no reason to be offended..!!!Btw you mentioned some days ago something about ''great organization" etc...That was offending for the BOOM crew...I know maybe 100 people who due "a handfull of reasons"have the same problem with you by not being able to find any BOOM bus ticket anymore, but they don't react like you..Instead of complaining about the BOOM crew just thank all these people who showed you maybe 10 different ways to get in time in the BOOM area..
Think positive..
Excuse me if i am saying something that doesn't suit you but i am a direct guy..
BOOM bro... |

Of course there's a reason to be offended as what you posted was clearly directed to me and inspired by me.
Point is that you will never know if you'll arrive on time at the festival.
And we're not talking about a small trip going somewhere in your homecountry.
To me there's only a bunch of ways of how to get there, certainly not 10.
One is by Plane + Bus.
2nd is Plane + Train, which takes about 6 hours longer, so that's really not an option.
And the third is lifting which is a complete gambill, cause you'll never know when you'll arrive.
So what it comes down to is that Plane + Bus is the only realistic option, and if that all of a sudden seems to go wrong, also because of no clear information on the Boomsite, I think my reaction is very understandable.

so i think we have a problem hier my friend djones:
First of all stop this attacks to me, cause you were late and you have the problem.
I booked my Boombus tickets 3 months ago cause i am coming from the other side of Europe and believe me i am glad i did it in order not having such problems like yours...
Second i participated international festivals the last 10 years and my experience teach me to book early for practical reasons (cheap plane tickets, festival tickets etc.)
Third:Do you think that BOOM crew has to wait until the last minute everyone who decides participating the festival by having extra seats or busses in the airports???
Fourth:Each of our decisions have consequences!!!You decided late that you are coming so accept the fact that you have to look a way to come to Festival. Why should this be a problem of BOOM's crew???
They offer the last six months any info and help for all participants..Isn't it a little unfair to blame for our problem other people???
And final there is no problem if you pass 2 performances at 11th night...that what's count is that you will be there..
There is also a puplic bus transport..Try this...
BOOM bro.. |
