It makes perfect sense, that area in the summer can reach very high temperatures and Portugal has serious issues with forest fires every summer.

Don't worry about the food... I know the chai shop at the main stage will employ at least two chefs.
Food will be simple, such as tortillas for instance. Everything will be made fresh and properly refrigiated, and prices are said to be reasonable. So worry not.
Aside from that nothing beats cooking outdoors - even if you don't come with a camper just bring some rice and spices and i'm sure someone will be glad to let you in on their kitchen.

Im not planning to "eat out" at Boom and i really enjoy the ritual of the meal with your friends(and whoever shows up) in the end of the day...so if the "private kitchens" are not allowed i hope there will be a nice community kitchen....

10.No bottles, cans, glass, containers, alcohol, food, chairs (except for folding chairs), tables, or picnic equipment may be brought onto the Site, CAMPSITE AND PICNIC AREAS EXCEPTED. Any found will be confiscated. Water and non-alcoholic drinks in plastic bottles with unbroken seals up to 500ml are permitted in the concert area.
