Tristan, great one more time
But they should bring some other Twisted rec. artists sometimes..
Hallucinogen, Prometheus, Younger Brother, Ott...some have released fantastic and non-commercial albums this year!
If boom primes by choosing diferent things in psy, why don´t they ever book any of this genial artists?!?!

'Big names' are what they are because they make 'good music' that the majority of people like. Reading though the posts I have the feeling that becoming a big name is bad in the psy culture and that artists should keep a very low profile to be appreciated.
Good festivals should always have big names as well as less known artists.

Sorry being a pointdexter, but Tristan is now signed under Nano Records (see his latest Album "Chemisphere"). I totaly agree about Twisted artists, but the Nano guys are also a total blastoff!! Like AMD last year, I can't wait to hear Laughing Buddha at Boom 08. Not talking bout Tristan... Dreams Come True!!! See everyone at BOOM! LOVE&LIGHT |

Extremely disapointed by the line up so far and even more by the boom team, who has been saying they want to offer DIFFERENT music than what we hear in all parties. I know about quite some artists who make excellent, refreshing and original music, who have sent their demo's and not have been chosen to perform and what is offered instead? THE SAME BORING STUFF AS ALWAYS! If Boom cannot provide us with something refreshing, than I might as well just drop my hopes for seeing something happening in our scene and let it all for what it is. |

I've been bitching a lot about the line-up but after the names started to come out i have to desagree with you....there is a lot of things still missing but until now you can find lots of good acts playing. Some more night stuff and Suomi style are welcome...
Still im kinda curious to know which artists you would like to see there to promote that change you are talking about and also which are the booked acts that qualify has "THE SAME BORING STUFF AS ALWAYS! "....

Ellon:
As for your question who I would like to see, some names I have been following for years now are: Ecliptic (Mexico), Basic (unbelievable, but Israely), Bitkit (Belgium), Akbal (Holland), Annarchy (Israel again), Tron (no idea????), Gus Till (England), just to name some examples. As you see all day-time stuff, dark is not really my thing.
When it comes to your question which artists I am talking about mentioning the same boring stuff, well, besides the Nano' artists (and the names I don't know) I mean pretty much all of them. Quality music, yes, but nothing inventive. My opinion off course. Cheers. |

Actually Ecliptic is playing, you can check it yourself at the official Boom team, but Im starting to get tired of people complaining about line up or not enough psy decoration(?!)..
Boom team does a big of effort to create a really special festival.
Boom is not a must, Boom is a pleasue
Just enjoy it!
