Computer games don't affect kids - I mean, if Pacman affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. :D :D

I believe Lisbon is the closest...
If for some reason you're connecting through London and you're hiring a car. Madrid I think is the cheapest and a 4 and a half hour drive. thats what we did, and will probably do again.

hey there!!!i just want to complain a little....lol....i will be at boom but why is so expensive?our nation is crossing a economic depressure since ever...majority of portuguese trancers are not ready for this prices and this is just the entrance...i´m also thinking in prices inside the BOOM, in basic things like water and food..previously in 06 was already an exploration, only boom crew could sell it...but like a lot of fans of this hippie and intergalactic movement say, boom is for the money makers....

i agree.
i'll be there too.
i don't agree with the prices... why a festival that already has so MUCH profit keeps rising up the ticket price?
lots of portuguese people live with difficulties, and lots of people from abroad will be spending a LOT of money to come and return to their home countries...
of course they will do anything to buy the ticket, and in result lots of people will be in that extreme heat with very little money for a long time, surviving on inspiration, music and ideas, and with an empty stomach for sure... and they aren't for sure lesser trancers, or lesser contributes to the spirit and the fun of this festival
my 2 cents
Boom!

yeah, this is an extremely steep rise in price!
i remember my ticket in 2006 cost 65 euro. now 95 at least! thats about 30% price up?
Question to the Boom organisors; are you going to make the festival so much bigger? I would like to hear your reasons for this price increase, even more so because a lot of the 2006 bamboo constructions will be re-used, meaning you have to invest less than you did in 2006. So can you please explain the increase?

Me too.
Up til now I was always telling my non-trance friends (who insist that psytrance festivals are for the rich) that it's not that expensive when you think about the quality and quantity of the prestation (average concert,3 groups, finish 1:00 am =150euros)........
Now it's gonna be hard to justify!
However, there are always ways and means....
I can get false Macedonian passports for only 125 euros.......

Planet Earth here, I'd like to see the word "BOOM", which is the subject of this topic, making part of the discussion.
Also let's try to be more compreensive... We're supposed to be friends...

Presale prices of Samotharki Dance Festival 2003
€ 70,00 (March - May)
€ 100,00 (May - July)
€ 135,00 (July - opening of the festival)
i think it was 160 at the door
i think its not so much 160, for BOOM in 2008 and when Freedom can be more than 100, Boom should be more than 150 at least _____________________
