ah forgot to say
the music was really good
i enjoyed the non full commercial trance artists
that we heard so many times allover the place
nothing against it but i personally like the approach
and as i said there was soem really intelligent music played most of the time and im sure everybody got his dose
and as it is with festivals you get your fix in packages
not like smaller parties where you can go all the way

besides the mainstage i didnt really spend much time on other floors one set i enjoyed on the groovybeach
was pentas new project -azorsky- very good ...

really enjoyed the opening nights on the dancefloor
with the japanese drumband gocoo and then later peaking goddess collective with jarvis on didg

the final was on the other hand very cheap
i saw much better shows from phoenix and the stage lighting was pretty bad too for this kinda things

but hey it was a great show and always love to meet the psycircus its good to see friends from allover the world
and have the chance to hang out and have fun            DROPOUT PRODUCTIONS

The water supply inside of Boom was also horrible, there were taps of water with water coming from god knows where, but I'm sure it was not drinking water and it was full of chlorine, many kitchens cooked with water from the lake which was infected (no wonder since people used the lakes as toilets) and caused diarrhea for lots of people who didn't even get in the lakes. The only clean drinking water was sold only in half llitre (branded) bottles for a Euro, but with normal water consumption this would amount to 6 to 10 Euros a day so many people couldn't afford it and had to poison themselves with the tap water.

I don't know how 'horrible' the water supplies were.. but one think I know is that they clearly stated which taps had DRINKABLE water.. now if people ignored that (including me.. but hey.. taking some risks and going a bit on the rough side when at a festival is all pert of the enjoyment).. that's a different matter.

Ok I agree that if ALL taps had drinkable water would be ideal.. but you can't have everything in this life.

Being a Boom virgin.. I can't compare with previous editions.. but from my friend's comments that have been before.. it looked pretty awesome. I've heard stories about having 25 showers for 25.000 in 2004.. surely that was not the case this time. Showers were on all the time (as far as I know anyway, I only went once!) and you even had private cubicles.. I mean common.. that's a luxury for sure!

Anyway.. overall I had a great time, despite the queues, despite the dust.. it's all good.. a bit of patience and positive spirit.. and everything is fine!

Personally I didn't find the music amazing.. I think the line up has been of a higher class in previous editions, but there were some high lights that have been mentioned from several isratrancers, that being Gocoo, miss DJ Nem (blew us away!!!), Pena and a personal favourite.. Behind Blue Eyes!

But a festival of such size, giving you so many options on how to spend your time there.. it's not only about the music in the end. It's about the atmosphere, the vibe, the memories you make out of it.

So.. let's be a bit more positive and open minded about new music being introduced, about giving the chance to new artists and new people to mix with eachother.. after all.. WE ARE ALL ONE.

Much love to all Boomers!

did penta play at boom?!?! how come i missed it!! and i went especially to after boom because some people told me hes playing there.. but after i got there i knew no good music will be.. pretty lame after

anyhow!!!!! olowanpi no doubt u gave the best set at boom!! what a powerful set full of madness WHOHOWHOHO!!!!!! it was a blast man.. thank u for givin me some satisfaction from the music aspect at boom
all by all.. nightime had some great acts by almost all artists.. cosmo, mubali, parus, atriohm, zirkin, ocelot, jahbo, texas faggot(which is defently not night music).. djs gave their work full power as well!!
the problem that every day since morning the music became shit, non-psytrance or whatever is that fluffy full on that can destroy all your fun.. the only good morning act was by hyper frequencies, pfffff thats what i calls PSYTRANCE.. probably not for soft listeners of boom2008.. give them skazi and cut the bullshit hehehehehehe

anyways it was a nice week with many many good friends.. i thought it will be much better, but as olowanpi, "the less expectations....." so i might think thats the reason, but what the hack, i wont go back boom 2010 anyway.. ill let other people to have their own fluffy soft-feeling drugs experience......... and i hope next time it wont look like your "comfortable" toilet..

BooM!
or should i say.. ANTI BOOM?!

Yeah man!! I now what you mean. Music in Boom should be for the though people, the true psytrancers, who enjoy it at 160bpm and more. What's the deal with all those teddy bear, baby sleeping music lovers? They sure don't know what is REAL trance.

So I give you my full support, on 2010 you go to the Anti-Boom, and then you come back here to write your full report on a real trance event. With no potable water, showers, food stalls, medical aid, but with the best music ever. Wish I could be a true psy ranger like you. But hey, I'm more of a teddy bear music guy. What can you do... kids...

Hi all!
I was very disapointed to read all the negatives comments about the quality of the music, the prices ( entrance ticket, foods, beer), the long queues, etc...etc..etc.. but wtf?!!for thoses concerned; you'd better stay at home next time...listen your best sounds and eat you usual cheap food...and maybe go bitching in another forum about how miserable you life is... come on! why do you think boom has been so successfull ..+30000 people from +-40 differents countries.Doesn't it mean anything?
like most of us, I have to work the
all year and I have had loads of time to see boom coming... So yep, I have tieded my belt a little before to save some cash for the event.. food was the price it was and thanks god there was any! If it weren't any, some would have bitch about it...you coud have cook your own to make it cheaper or eat bread and sardines or fruits if you couldn't.You didn't have to QUEUE at the restaurant 3 times a day...you could have bring your own beer too, and water to avoid the "nasty taste"...nones have forbidden that! I hardly never went to buy food there, but when i did, I was extremly happy to find all this variety to choose from( i am a chef)ex: pizza in the middle of nowhere?!! in an home made oven? .yep, there was queues there, and a full brigade of 7/8 chefs working 24/7 making i guess an average of 2 pizza/min. how long do you have to wait if you make your own at home? if you ever can?
queues in toilettes, well i wasn't concerned about it since i am a man and I could go pretty much everywhere anytime... and I am able to hold the big delivery for quiet a few hours... and personally i haven't really met anyone shitting themselves ...
shower was another issue. what a fuck?? . the space was surrounded of water. you could just refreshing in the lake... or keep patience in the queue while meeting others in the very same situation than yours... or if you really insisted for the ultimate good shower... for 2 euros you would have get in the local swimming pool and have your shave etc...( sorry too expensive to maybe??)..
what else we are bitching for...ha yes . the poor line up...If you only came for that, then you are one of the most unlucky stupid being on earth since :
-1st either you have bought your expensive ticket 6 month ago, travelling all the way from home, queueing all this time, suffering from all kind of "unpleasent matters" without knowing that you favorit type of music or favorit artist isn't playing there! poor you !that was a tough gamble!!! next time stay at home an listen to your ipod in your backyard you will have better chance to satisfy you unger of sound...
or you bought your ticket after the lineup release and your computer played some tricks with you and promessing something else??
complaining about mainstream becoming event... As you saw it, all kinf of people there, different background, different age, famillies etc.. there was some from everyone...you must be VERY picky if you haven't find anything that you like there...
I recall 600 artists, 8 days of music (?)...
So please, for all the people who didn't enjoy this wonderful time, stop spoiling this forum with all this crap and find yourselve a better festival next time... with all respect

Exactly my point of view!
Me and my friends had the best time at the Festival like in the years before...
I am only sorry for the people that didn´t get in. It was a mistake from the org. that they didn´t limite it to a certain number of sold tickets. I understand that it is a process of growing on the task and learning with every festival(for sure 2010 it will be limited) but they should apologise publicly towards the people that traveled from far away and didn´t get in.
All together I think the Festival was well organised.
I liked alot the improvments like the groovy beach and some really good band at the sacred fire.
Boom is growing in to something more diverse like fusion festival in Germany which is the best festival that I have ever been to mainly through the diversity and the amazingly high quality of djs and music overall... making a festival with more diversity brings people of more tastes to party together and thats something good in my opinion. People should be more open towards the tastes of others and not close themselfs up to new stuff especially with music...

We had a good time at Boom. Maybe some things could had been better organized, but common, it's a festival for freaks, and not a 5*+ hotel. Boom is always an adventure, its never easy to make it, but this is part of the experience.
It was my third time there, and each of them was different. Some things i liked better in previous ones, some things i liked better now.
Booms main goal is that it brings people together. I had fun and dance with so many friends there, some of them I haven't seen for years before, and I got many new friends as well. For me it's worth all the ordeals, but not worth to complain about every little details. Better to make jokes of the things are not perfect, laughing can be very helpful in difficult situations.
Well, this is my point of view.
