i cant help but laugh at some of the bullshit comments made here... people just tend to bitch WAY too much... appreciate what was done for you by others and just enjoy it!

it was my first boom aswell and i was amazed by how beautiful everything was and how well organized things were... i loved the eco concept, the deco (beautiful gardens and well spread throughout the entire area) the food, some of the music but most important of all and what made this festival such a unique experience were the people... i was never in such a place that held so many people with the same flow and all smiling at each other and creating the perfect vibe no matter what part of the festival you went to (i would point out the portuguese people which were so happy and proud something like this is happening in their own country and they wanted to make sure everyone shares that feeling )

i have got to mention one of the best things in this festival was the amazing fruit biscuit cake from that dome place... if u had it u know what im talking about... the berries with mango and biscuits cake u got in a paper cup AMAZING!!!

o ya and there was music too

highlights for me: back to mars (great way to open the festival!)
khopat, artifakt (what energies!), u recken, zaraus (MONSTER MORNING!!!), FEARSOME ENGINE WOW!!!! i cant wait for the debut album , bedouin & hamish (never heard of them before but they gave a great morning-noon prog/fullon set - really created a great vibe, vazik, kristian, the first stone (also first time hearing them... great stuff from brazil ), zosma, rastaliens exploding on us in the morning, ecleptic, ocelot (dark music i can finalkly enjoy), nick, subconsious mind, TRISTAN!

those are the ones i remember...

just two things tho that i must mention... howcome there was absolutely no goa music throught the festival? i was really expecting to hear some goa tunes at such a setting but was disappointed with that also the thing with only dark music at nights was a little too exaggerated i think lineups should have been more diversified but thats just me

boom on all of you people that made me have such a great experience... see you next summer

yea.. it was done for us in exchange of a hell of a lot of money.. sorry, for me it wasn't worth it. and i'm portuguese and definitely NOT proud of what was done! if you were in boom 2006 you would understand what i'm saying

but anyway i'm glad everyone had a good time at my country! like i said before, boom is clearly made for foreigners           When I dance, I put myself in the DJ's hands to take me to a journey - the unconscious journey to reality

KARKEIJA KREW!!!!!!!! dancing is the phrr fo da powa

i'am a BOOMER since 98, and i only missed the 2004 edition since then, and all i can say is that this year was great like all the other years.

You seem to be a bit extremist like some other people here.
If BOOM TEAM please so much your taste at 2006 edition like you say all time, why not to accept and respect other ideas to run the festival like it happen in this new edition?
Do you want all time the same settings?
No new ideas for you?
And all time talking about the price for what? We all got the opportunnity of buying the ticket for 95 euros.
Thats too much money humm? lol
Even if you pay 120 euros its fair enough!
Last year i pay 100 eur to go to Freedom Fest, and it was ridiculous if you want to compare...
Boom Festival is without a doubt the best and biggest festival in Europe with a very high number of people working hard to keep the festival like you saw.
So, like goaren said, try to appreciate and give some value to the work presented there.

see you next year in OZORA FESTIVAL, and BOOM 2010 for all.
          Boom!

Groovy beach was wicked. Learn to enjoy things guys...it doesn't have to be 100% exactly the kind of music your into 100% of the time.

Just curious as to whether anyone has been to the doctor regarding the Boom Belly, I'm traveling a new place each day and can't make it to a proper doctor for a little while and I'd be keen to know more about what's going on until then! It's not too serious, just anoying

...regarding the Boom Belly...

You're going to start a new definition for the already rich Boom vocabulary - the BoomBus, The BabyBoom and now the BoomBelly...

Regarding the Groovy Beach, i saw some good stuff there (Goth-Thard, Gasparov) and some crapp (Hip-Hop was awful)...in the end i just think it broke the "wE ARE ONE" dancing under the same roof...which by the way is something very importatnt in terms of family vibe...something a lot of us is bitching that has decreased in 2008!!!

So IMHO if this concept is to maintain for the next edition, make it REALLY innovative 'cause most of the acts were stuff i've been hearing in the city for the past 2 years!!!! Not to mention the Will Smith jiggy....pleeeeeease!!!!!

Would anyone know if the Antix brothers performed on the 2nd night at the Groovy Beach stage?

I stood there and saw two similar guys, black hair (one short, one longer hair), little beardy, performing a liveact with a Mac.

I'm quite sure it had to be them, but nowhere they appeared on the lineup.

Anyone?

Anyone:-)?

Are my posts visible to others??

just wondering.

Hi man,

a doctor told me that it was a general problem in the Castelo Branco area and that it was a virus. I took Bactrim (antibiotic) and something for the fever and got better the next day. hope it helps!
