That bit of information has clarified a lot of details for me.
I had not idea that Boom 2006 was free for India as I am from Goa. But nevertheless, better late than never, I am really looking forward to making it for Boom'08. I've never been to a festival of this magnitude.
I am in a dilemma right now & was wondering if you could possibly suggest an appropriate course of action with regards to the visa.
In order to get a portugese visa, one needs a letter of invitation from a portugese citizen or a hotel booking & since I am planning on camping out at Boom'08 & hence I can't show any hotel booking & since i don't have any friends from Portugal, how can i get my hands on a letter of invitation??

u can make hotel or hostel registration through internet and then when u get the viza to cancel it...this one of the options without invitation....

i know it is, and if i go, it will be my forth time going, every single festival they organized has always being improved from edition to edition.
you know when you pay that money they invest in lots of things to keep you occupied during the festival.
but if i am not able to buy the tickets on-line since i am a little bit retarded in using certain systems of payement(me and i wonder how many more), paying 115 euros to an ambassador is a little bit to much at least for me.
i will make my bests to save some money to be able to go, but considering the finantial situation of the country,yes that should be taken in consideration, since the festival is organized in Portugal, the money spended in tickets plus money to eat, plus money to travel, it becomes a very expensive festival.
for example for a person paying 160 euros at the entrance, that is 1/3 of the basic salarie in Portugal.
how many people will be left outside the festival because of the total expenses in the festival?
this are just some thoughts and considerations on the price tickets.
