I was there at this year freedom and my grandmom can play a better selection of music... The music was just crap IMO.. Though i did see a lot of ppl dancing and having fun...
My idea of a good party or a good DJ playing is when u hold ur piss back for 2 hrs coz u cant move away from the floor 
But i shud say i had a lot of fun at freedom.. Music wise..nyeah..
This was another one i went to this year eventhough the facilities werent comparable to Freedom.. The music was IMO a 100 times better

One little comment 
1) We havent miss our flight , it was the visa problem , since you all know Europe Union thinks of us as a 4th world country and ppl , so its NOT so easy to get into EU with Serbian passport . But things gonna change about the visa , sooner or later , so about that no worries
2) One little comment about the festivals aspect , almost ALL festivals lost a concept of beeing underground , over the ground , call them as you want , old festivals were filled with ALL KIND OF TRANCE , morning , dark , prggy , etc , WE ALL lost that . Not even ONE festival has whole concept of the LINE UP . no Ozora , no Boom , no Antaris , Gathering in Japan also ....
3) What is hapennig in my oppinion , is that more hippies but really old school hippies ,which stil live within the trancelife , are going and listening to different kind of trance , that young ppl do , call them rookies or whatever , so organisers seeing that , started organising big festival with LINE UP's that gonna be bring them those kind of ppl , and i have no problems about that, in Europe more ppl listen to dark music and to more psychedelic stuff , then japaneese ppl , or brasilian or mexicans , so if you make festival in europe these days , you are not gonna bring commercial line up with astrix , skazi , gms , and etc..why becuase noone of the real hippies/trancers wil not go there .... so you will not get a " REAL SPIRITUAL " festival .
So what you gonna do , you gonna bring the "underground" artists with "real" psychedelic music , also combining that with progressive artists , why ?
Becuse these days ..this kind of LINE UP is more COMMERCIAL ! and i am talking about the number of ppl that gonna arrive to listen this !
Why BOOM had last year more then 20 000 ppl , becuase it had the fancy line up for these days ,ofcourse have to mention , long ear reputation , killer organisation , and etc, but i am sorry , these days , Astrix , Gms , Skazi , etc , they are not the fancy line up for a festival , they are for a single day party !!!
So i rather cal COMMERCIAL LINE UP something thats gonna bring you for sure 20 000 ppl , and + you pay very small fees ,then bringing bands who charge 5000, 6000 eur , beeing in a problem of how much ppl gonna arrive , will you pay all the costs and etc etc...
And look i am NOT talking about music , all the music is good unless its prooven otherwise on the dancefloor !!!
Hopefully one day ,trance is gonna go back to its origin ! and we gonna be again one big united happy familly ! untill then ,try to survive ! |

Hope you sort this issue out early next year.
I must agree that festivals with big stars have almost no spirit but festivals need to have long terms strategies.
First build up a name, usually by bringing big $$ stars, geting attention whether good or bad and then they can afford to be picky and selective about line-ups.
Freedom festival has built up a name over the past editions and they can now afford imho to go underground in their artists selection.
I am very optimistic that Trance will go back to its origin as festival orgs must have certainly noticed by now that a good festival is no longer synonym of $$$ artists.

Sometimes I think I live in another planet... Am I and my friends the only ones who sees beautiful people, huge smiles, incredible vibes, and magestic energy in commercial lineups and see bored faces, wasted people, bad vibes and very low energy in underground lineups??
Its like watching Brasil and Japan beautiful festivals vs this new European dark uglyness.
Choose what you like, for me trance is all about good vibes and huge smiles, otherwise I would go listen to some heavy techno.
