So do you like any pop music?

If so what band and song(s)or albums?

Right now for me it's:

Coldplay - "Fix You" I never really got this song when it first came out, and still some of the lyrics bug me a bit but ever since my partners ftaher died with her at such a young age, and him being her only living parent, this song kinda hits home when I hear it randomly in the shops or on the radio...

must admit she did 'drag' me to their concert here recently and I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had *shock*           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

Yeah, as I said, was pleasantly surprised by their concert, not that I'm running out to buy an album, but won't turn them off if they're on the radio hehe.           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

if shit's catchy, it's catchy. i haven't felt the need to feel "above" all that mainstream crap for about 10 years now. i can't say i really listen to it cause i don't listen to the radio and there's just an overabundance of really great stuff out there to be wasting your time listening to something average. but if i'm stuck somewhere and something is on the radio, i can totally groove to it (if it grooves).

listing coldplay as your "secret pleasure" band is pretty weak. nothing wrong with them at all.

i think i'm gonna go with Destiny's Child here.           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance

unfortunatly i constantly have the top 40 or so pop songs drilled into me on repeat at work 4 days a week (i work in a small supermarket), and sometimes i like a new one but it only takes a week or so before i hate it. some of them have really nice beats (amazingly well produced) for instance some have really nice sort of reggae beats (can't put any names to songs), but i generally don't like the vocals too much           Projection makes perception. The world is what you gave it, nothing more than that. It is a witness to your state of mind, the outside picture of an inward condition. As a man thinketh, so does he perceive- Anonymous

if you knew me more and my musical history you could see why it might be considered my secret pleasure.

I never said this was a competition or such so no need for that kind of tone champ

of course it is. it's the internetz. verrry serious business.

and i don't care if you've been a hardcore goatfucker for the past 10 years, i still say Coldplay is pretty weak in this context. if you enjoy an R. Kelly tune once in a while, it won't make you any less grim and frostbitten

come on, dude. you don't need to be shy about that Kenny Rogers CD you have hidden with your porn stash.           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance

I love some good catchy pop tunes. Especially the well produced stuff like what Neptunes or Timbaland create. I'll take Justin Timberlake any day over your average psy trance album.
My favorite these days is Mark Ronson's Version album. He's the guy that discovered Amy Winehouse. A perfect Pop album!

Garbage used to be a good rock pop band specially their first two albums had catchy melodies but very interesting sounds and production was top notch.

Version 2.0 was very impressive at its time with that harsh pop feeling around it, and well Shirley was just so lovely.

Then I dont know hwat happened but they really turned into garbage.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."
