[The "Trance in the World >> India" is read-only, so I have to ask here]

Does anything (parties, etc.) happening in the LEFT Pondicherry - between Goa and Kerala (please see here
http://slil.ru/23454838 )?
In particular, is it worth going there at the end of December?

Pondicherry is on the east coast of India, and Goa and Kerala are on the west coast of india.

but yes pondicherry and the nearby auroville is a great place to check out....

if you are looking for trance parties then there is not much happening there, but lots of other cool places, people, communities, ways of thinking, quite an international and boehemian area, specially Auroville.           www.facebook.com/DjJanux

Thanks, we know about the Eastern one, but it is too far...
It is just that we will be in Goa at the end of December, and were wondering if it would be worthwhile to visit the Western Pondicherry... Any ideas?

That's right. This one: http://mahe.gov.in/

Anybody been there? Or heard whether there is anything of interest?

mahe is in fact inside kerala... there is nothing at all there except for one or two beaches and some temples... i am from kerala, and the only reason i have been there is to buy booze which btw is way cheaper than kerala... if you are gonna be in kerala in late december, check out varkala... its actually like a mini goa with beautiful beaches and cliffs and a lot of shacks... hope i helped... I dont think there is much party action in Pondicherry - but its a great place to spend a few days - quite unusual because of the french influence - reminded me a little of Vietnam..

Excuse my slackness at not reading the thread properly - I was talking about the East Coast Pondicherry. Sadly I've never been to the West Coast one...
