i begun listening to trance when there was no singing, but ocassional short vocal samples, and it was wicked good. basically the music felt like a trance. there even was a saying between tranceheadz: "lirycs are good, but they got no place in trance".
nowadays, producers just shove some cheezy vocals into their production just so their music can be more appealing to the wider audience and they can sell more copies of their albums.
don't get me wrong, i got nothing against producers making money. not at all. it just if they were to take that road, they could also have choosen some lirycs that make sence. Otherwise singing about love, mountains, flowers, sunshine all over again and again, that's not annoying anymore, that's irritating.
Come on, let's get real.
i know trance should evolve, and technically i don't have any problems with vocals, i just can't stand lack of creativity.
