What do you think of singing in psytrance?
Good - Bad - Ugly?
E.g.
Sub6 - Ra Heya
What Duvdev is doing with Infected Mushroom (IMO seems to love his voice abit too much)
Dali - abit too 'detuned'  for my liking... but then who cares  hehe

As long as it fits the song why not., male vocals are killer too, dubmention by shift totaly killzzz, or a combination of both like closer to heaven by astrix, in depends a lot in th style, i wouldn´t really imagine dark psytrance with vocals, i don´t think it would fit.
It´s all about ryhtm to make th emusic and the vocals become one, to dance and sing at the same time,killer really. |

If it's twisted and it's used as another musical instrument like in Simon's tunes than it's ok.
If it's used to lay down cheesy vocals like Hypersonic than i'm better without.
Shift - Dubmention and Talpa - The Moon have clean vocals but they are done tastefully.

Singing in psytrance is way too korny. Psytrance speaks for itself - singing is needless!
Vocals with not so dense appearance (for example short vocal samples) are usually ok though. |

i think that vocals is the "short way" to get attention from the crowd. i also think its the next step on trance music but sadly most of the artists never done it before so the results are quite bad... |

The three signs you see when you know an electronic scene is bound to become commercial:
1) 95% of the artists start sounding the same, following the EXACT SAME SHALLOW FUCKING TRENDS in the name of "progress". This is just like the anti-evolutionism thing in the name of "spiritual progress" and "looking deeper than science". Surprise motherfuckers, NO IT'S NOT. Now get your hypocritical commie face away from mine.
2) People start remixing whatever they can get their hands on and say "it's NOT our lack of originality, it's because it's COOL". Wake up people, you remix #1 hits, you probably will never, ever, in your entire carreer make the top 50. It's as pathetic as a rap version of Wish You Were Here or Vanilla fucking Ice.
3) Added vocals with no drop of content other than some generic "everybody move" "mmmmmMMMMMmmm" and shit, just because people automatically pay attention to some girl sounding sexy more than to the actual music - HEY GUESS WHAT, THAT'S BRITNEY FUCKING SPEARS, NOT PSYTRANCE. I know it covers up for the fact that you are doing both 1) following trends that make your music SHIT 2) Creating music for vocals, instead of creating MUSIC FOR FRIGGIN' MUSIC. Stop ruining the music that I love with your lack of friggin' ability to create music that's actually more complex than a friggin' voice going "Get your money for nothin' get your chicks for free".

A good vocal groove like Ra heya can make a track last longer.
This minimal track for example is based on the vocal take,that made it succeed.
Vocals can also force more women join the scene |
